LADYBUG WINDOW TRAP

Ladybug Window Traps

PRODUCT NAME: Ladybug Window Traps. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Light metal trap which is used in windows where ladybugs tend to accumulate. The trap measures 10.5 inches wide, 1 inch deep and 3 inches tall. It has the following parts: Part A: Window Trap Body which houses the Glue Pad. Part B: Double stick pad which mounts to Trap "A" and window. Part C: Double sided glue pad which rests inside Window Trap "A" and does the "catching". Part D: Two pack of Ladybug Pheromones. To use the trap, first pull one side of paper off the double stick pad "B" and attach to one side of Trap "A". Next, remove the second piece of paper tape from pad "B" and attach to the glass of a window which is attracting ladybugs. Locate the Trap along the bottom of the window preferably in one corner like pictured.

Trap Mounted

You are now ready to load the Window Trap "A" with Pheromone "D" and it's Glue Pad "C". First, remove a Pheromone "D" from the two pack. Place one inside the Window Trap "A" trying to keep it centered. Next, gently pull one side of the protective paper off the Glue Pad "C" and place into Window Trap "A". You will find the pad is slightly taller then the trap so that you must curl the bottom before you slide it in. This curl is important since it will catch ladybugs so be sure to curl it evenly. If done right, the Glue Pad "C" fits snugly and evenly into Window Trap "A" forming a 'J' shape in the bottom of the trap. Since the Glue Pad "C" has glue on both sides, there is a chance you will be able to get to use both sides. Since the glue will dry in 1-2 months, you need to start checking it to make sure it is still sticky. Once it's dry, remove the glue pad and cover it with either the paper you remove from the back side or some wax paper. You can then place it back into the Window Trap with the fresh glue side up and get another 1-2 months from the same pad. If there are too many bugs trapped on it it may be better to just throw it away and start new. Each case will be different but be sure not to get glue all over the Window Trap since this will make a mess. If the Window Trap does get glue on it, use a little vegetable oil to remove it. The Pheromone needs to be replaced about every 1-2 months and will be effective even though it is placed below the glue. Try not to handle it when placing it in the Window Trap as human oils and contaminants will take away from it's overall effectiveness and lasting ability. TARGET PESTS: Ladybugs, flies, wasps and other window pests. WHERE TO USE IT: Windows. RATE OF APPLICATION: Try to place at least one trap in the lower or upper corner of any window which tends to have ladybug activity. This is usually a window facing the south, west or east. In any one room, you might find all windows need a trap and in other parts of the home you might not need any. The more traps out the better the impact. Be sure to replace gluepads as they fill which could happen weekly. Pheromones can last 1-2 months and should be used for this time period even if you are changing out glue pads. PACKAGING AND COST: Each trap includes one glue pad, two pheromones, and the Window Trap Body. (ITEM # 826306) Replacement glue a five pack of pads. (ITEM # 826307) Replacement Pheromones (single packs) (ITEM # 826303) Remember, the trap itself should last forever and the only cost once you have enough traps set up at windows is the replacement of the pheromones and glue.
