CYPERMETHRIN
PRODUCT NAME: Cypermethrin.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Low odor concentrate which is mixed with water
and has a broad inside and outside label. Works well for
several pests and lasts a long time. One great feature of
it is that most insects don't like it so there is a built
in repellency feature. This is significant because the
repellency feature can serve to drive away destructive
pests even though the current residual left over from a
previous treatment may have lost it's strength and is
no longer strong enough to kill targeted insects.
TARGET PESTS: Most insects including wood boring beetles.
WHERE TO USE IT: First, treat the trees you wish to protect from
getting infested. This is suggested in regions where activity
is high or if there are trees close by which are infested.
Treat the exterior of the tree, the bark, and be sure to
spray as much of it as you can reach. Though most species
will begin activity low on trees several species may and
will start high. Once you have treated trees which you want
to protect you can treat trees which are infested depending
on what your strategy is regarding the infested trees.
RATE OF APPLICATION: 1 ounce to a gallon of water. Amounts needed
will vary from tree to tree depending on many factors.
Generally treatments are done to the point of runoff.
ORGANIC ALTERNATIVE: ECO EXEMPT IC CONCENTRATE
SAFETY CONSIDERATIONS: Keep out of reach of children
and pets. Avoid contact of concentrate and diluted tank mix
by wearing surgical or rubber gloves. Keep people and pets
away and off treated surfaces till they are dry. Eye and
breathing protection is generally not needed but there are
certain times when such protection should be used. Further

PACKAGING AND COST: Cypermethrin is available in two forms.
The Emulsifiable Concentrate is a liquid form which is easy to
mix and use. It dries invisible, has a slight odor, will last
up to a month and is generally the choice when spraying a lot
inside. The Wettable Powder is white and will leave a slight
residue on dark surfaces, has a no odor, will last a week or
two longer than the Emulsifiable Concentrate and is generally
used outside where the extra length residual is an advantage.
Keep in mind that either form can be used inside or outside.
The wettable powder is able to provide a little longer residual
but there is the possibility of a visible residue on dark
surfaces. The difference in performance is barely noticeable;
either form works great.
