MOSQUITO/NO SEEUM BLOCKER





PRODUCT NAME:   Mosquito/No Seeum Blocker.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:   Battery operated device which releases a combination
of plant oils which sticks to the olfactory sensors of No Seeums
and some other biting insects. This sticking affect prevents
them from being able to track prey since they will no longer
be able to follow the trail of Co2 and octenol - two gases
which people exhale and mosquitoes track - to find food. Each
unit runs off 2 "AA" batteries and holds a cartridge which
release a product called Conceal. Each cartridge will last
a month if used continuously. If units are shut down the cartridge
will last longer and can last over 45 days. The units shut
off and on easily and are small enough to be set out inconspicuously.

TARGET PESTS:   No Seeums and some other species of biting insects
like mosquitoes.

WHERE TO USE IT:   Outside where you want to sit. Such places include
decks, patios, pool areas, front porches, water front property,
etc. Basically, you can install a Blocker where ever you want
to keep away biting insects.


RATE OF APPLICATION:   This will vary with several conditions. First,
the air flow will have a big impact. If you have a steady
air flow, that is, the air is moving in one direction
all the time, you will be able to set one unit out just
slightly downwind from where you are sitting. As the
Conceal is released, it will prevent no seeums from being
able to track the Co2 and octenol back to it's source.
One unit would be enough for 1-3 people. Generally, as you
add more people you have to add more Blockers. There is no
definite formula to use since each person exhales these
gases in varying amounts and local weather as well as many
other factors will all combine to affect just how many
will be needed. However, expect to use one unit for every
1-3 people. Furthermore, if you have air flow which is
blowing in many different directions, you will need more
units than normal. This is due to the fact that the
random air flow will carry more of the Co2 and octenol
so there will more routes for local no seeums and mosquitoes
to follow.  A good general rule to follow is to try to
place a unit on every side where no seeums might be
active. If you are on a deck with two sides open you 
will probably need at least two units. If you are out in
the middle of the yard, you will probably need 3-4 units.
Remember that each cartridge will last 30-45 days and
should be replaced as they dry out.
