CYPERMETHRIN
PRODUCT NAME: Cypermethrin.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Low odor concentrate which is
mixed with water and has a broad inside and outside
label. Apply it on the sides of a building where you have
paper wasp nests or where you want to stop wasps and other
pests from trying to make a nest.
TARGET PESTS: Wasps and other insects.
WHERE TO USE IT: Outside on the side of building where
wasps or bees are trying to nest. You may also spray
around shrubs and other known wasp hang outs. It will
not hurt siding, plants, paint, plastic or any other
surface. This is due primarily to the fact that you
are mixing it at the rate of one ounce to a gallon of
water. It is essentially like spraying water though
you should keep children and pets away during the actual
application. Once the treatment dries they can enter
treated areas without any hazard present.
RATE OF APPLICATION: 1 ounce to a gallon of water.
PACKAGING AND COST: Cypermethrin is available in two forms.
The Emulsifiable Concentrate is a liquid form which is easy to
mix and use. It dries invisible, has a slight odor, will last
up to a month and is generally the choice when spraying a lot
inside. The Wettable Powder is white and will leave a slight
residue on dark surfaces, has a no odor, will last a week or
two longer than the Emulsifiable Concentrate and is generally
used outside where the extra length residual is an advantage.
Keep in mind that either form can be used inside or outside.
The wettable powder is able to provide a little longer residual
but there is the possibility of a visible residue on dark
surfaces. The difference in performance is barely noticeable;
either form works great.
