LT82484 PIGEON TRAP
PRODUCT NAME: LT82484 Live Pigeon Trap.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Trap which measures 8 inches tall by 24 inches
wide by 84 inches long. Constructed of 14 gauge wire, this
3 sectionalized trap is strong enough to handle pigeons for many
years yet light enough so that one person can fold and carry it
for easy relocation. It utilizes a new "one way" door system
which works very well on pigeons. The trap has three equally
sized sections. The two outside sections have 6 main entry doors
and 2 inside doors that lead to the middle section only. Pigeons
will enter through any of the twelve outside doors and from there
funnel into the mid section where they can be removed. The mid
section has four doors only which lead to the outside sections
and not to the outside of the trap. The mid section is also the
only section which has a large access door on top for bird removal.
The doors which lead into the mid section are one way doors as well
so that birds which enter the mid section are then trapped
and cannot get back to the end sections.
TARGET BIRDS: Pigeons.
WHERE TO USE IT: On the ground, on roof tops, on asphalt and basically
anywhere you are able to establish a feeding location for
pigeons. If you already have such a location, make sure
it will be a large enough area to hold the trap as well
as being accessible for getting the trap to the location.
RATE OF APPLICATION: Each trap can hold up to 100 birds. Like all
live traps, it is best if you establish a feeding location prior
to setting the trap out. Do this by scattering some corn out in
an area you would like to use for pigeon trapping. Do this as long
as needed to get the birds to learn of the location. This will
usually take a few days and can be done during the time it
takes for your order to arrive. When the trap is received, place
it out where you have been pre-baiting and then place some seed
just outside the trap, by the access doors, but be sure to bait
a lot more in the trap. Place about twice as much bait in the middle
of each outside section of the trap and then about four times as
much bait in the mid section. It is also suggested a small amount
be placed just inside some of the doors. Pigeons that know the area
will come looking for food and when they arrive, will find some
just outside the trap but will quickly notice a lot more inside.
This should prompt them to enter and once inside, they will
then notice even more in the middle section which will lead them
to venture into this chamber. Since the bait placed outside
the trap will be consumed first, it is important that you have
a lot more inside making sure to set out quantities which will
not be consumed by trapped birds too quickly. Having both bait
and birds inside the trap will help get more birds trapped -
particularly when outside placements run out.
