BODYGRIP KILL TRAPS





PRODUCT NAME:   Bodygrip Trap.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:   7" x 7" square heavy steel trap which has
two springs for strong setting. The springs are in the shape
of a "V" and when set, compress the tops of the "V" together. 
There is a safety latch on each "V" so that once compressed, 
you can latch it for holding it set. Once both "V"'s are 
compressed, you set the key into the groove of the trigger.
Now, place the trap where you want to make the set. Once in
place, the safety latches are released and the Bodygrip is
now ready to work. Because of the strength required to compress
these "V" springs, it is generally suggested that you get a
set of Setters. These will enable you to compress the springs
with a lot of leverage and make working with 220's much easier.

If needed, these traps are available in larger sizes. The
280's are 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" and the 330's are 10" x 10". When
animals are large or openings are big, these larger traps may
be needed for making a better set.

TARGET ANIMALS:   Although this trap has been used
primarily for beaver, it will work well for other nuisance
animals like skunk. It is more then powerful enough to
deliver the required force to kill any skunk immediately when
they set it off. 

WHERE TO USE IT:   Bodygrip traps can be set many different
ways but the most common for skunk is to place the trap
directly over the den so that when the targeted animal tries
to leave it will get caught. Be sure to secure the trap on
a stake or tree so that predators won't cart the trap away.
Since holes can be large, you may need to set up a natural
funnel around the entrance using either cement block or
logs. Configure them around the hole so the exiting animal
will have no choice but to go through the Bodygrip. This
usually means surrounding the hole on three sides and leaving
a section open large enough on one side which is where the
trap will be set. Place logs over the top as well so the
animals can't climb out. Upon trying to leave their den,
they will have no choice but to go through the trap which
will lead to their demise.

RATE OF APPLICATION:    This will vary from job to job.
Generally, the more traps employed, the quicker you catch your
target animals. Although you can start with only one, it is
suggested that you use 2-3 if you have 2-3 den entrances. To
be 100% effective, make a set over any entrance you can find.
This will force the targeted animal to get caught.
