PRODUCT NAME: Drione Dust.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: White powder, low odor, very light and
powdery. Drione is very safe to use. In fact, it is labeled
as flea powder to be applied directly on dogs and cats! This
means it won't pose a hazard to pets or people when applied
to areas like basements, crawl spaces or garages - even
when they walk over treated surfaces. It does leave behind
a white residue which can be tracked around when people
walk over it so having a floor mat available for wiping
ones shoes when exiting any floor treated with Drione is
helpful. However, the benefit of using Drione outweighs
this small inconvenience. When kept dry, Drione can last
very long so it great to use for those "hard to treat"
areas of the home where liquids just don't work and
aerosols don't last that much longer.
TARGET PESTS: Many different pests. It works on most any
insect and lasts a long time. This is due to the fact that
it works as a dehydrating agent. Since all insects need moisture
one way or another, Drione is an effective agent on just
about anything.
WHERE TO USE IT: Attics, crawl spaces, basement floor,
electric outlets, light fixtures, wall voids, etc. Basically
on any dry concrete or dirt floor. Though it will work on
damp and moist areas, the longevity or residual action of
the dust will be minimized so you won't get your money's
worth when used in such areas. For this reason, Drione is
best suited for where it is both dry and porous. It's also
great to use right in dog houses and kennels, even though
these areas might get wet. Just treat once a month to
insure good protection. Since Drione will work on ticks,
lice and other pests like flies, using in these areas will
help the dogs keep pest free too.
RATE OF APPLICATION: 1 lb covers up to 800 sq/ft. Just unscrew the
top, sprinkle some out over the area you want to treat
and then either broom or rake it out. The key to a successful
application is trying to get applications distributed evenly
over the target area. This will insure uniform coverage and
maximize results. In a dry environments, applications should
last 6-12 months. If you have a location being treated which
gets moist or wet, apply more often as needed.
