PRODUCT NAME: Sonic Gopher Repeller.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Sounding device that is planted in the
ground designed to repel various ground dwelling
animals like gophers. Since gopheres are super sensitive
to sound, they become aggravated by the constant
noise this device emits. Time intervals for when
sound is released can be adjusted to provide either
a low frequency, repelling sequence or the more
persistent, relocating setting for when gophers are
currently active. These units run on 4 "D" cell
batteries which will last 5-10 months depending
on the sound setting.
TARGET PESTS: Moles, gophers, voles and shrews.
WHERE TO USE IT: In the ground.
RATE OF APPLICATION: Each device should cover up
to 11,000 sq/ft (approximately 1/4 acre) but this will depend
largely on the soil type where they reside. Soft loamy, sandy
soil won't transmit the sound waves that well so expect only 6,000
to 8,000 sq/ft of coverage for such turf. Hard pan like clay or
just really dry soil tends to carry the sound farther resulting
in a larger area protected. Obstructions like cement driveways
and walkways will take away from the effective coverage area
and should be noted. Batteries will last 4-6 months in the
strong setting; 10-12 months in the light maintenance setting.
