SURFLAN





PRODUCT NAME:   Surflan Pre Emerge.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:   Liquid material that can be used by itself
or with post emerge products like Eraser. Surflan is a true
Pre Emerge. This means it will do nothing to any plant which
has already started to grow and is clearly visible. Instead,
Surflan works on seeds. By preventing the seeds from being
able to grow, Surflan addresses the weed problem you may get
before it's able to start. Excellent material to use in the fall
and winter to get seeds before they have a chance to start 
growing the following spring. The following "product spotlight"
video goes into more specifics.



TARGET PLANTS:   Anything which grows from seeds. Annuals or
other plants can be planted where Surflan has been applied. Even sod
can be applied over treated soil without concern. However, seeds
won't be able to grow where this material is applied so be sure
you don't intend on trying to grow grass or something else from
a seed bed.

WHERE TO USE IT:  Just about anywhere. Common sites include dirt,
lawns, flower beds, ground cover, driveways, dirt roads, pine islands
and just about anywhere plant growth is not wanted.

RATE OF APPLICATION:    1 to 1.5 oz per gallon of water for every 1000
sq/ft of turf you want to treat. It will take 1.5 -2 quarts of Surflan
to treat an acre. Applications will vary based on the rate used during
the treatment. For long growing warm regions, a stronger rate will
provide a longer window of protection and should be considered if
this longer protection is needed. At the low rate, you can expect
2-4 months of residual. Higher rates can yield 6-12 months of activity.
