BODYGRIP SETTERS





PRODUCT NAME:   Bodygrip Setters.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:   Tools which are used for compressing the
springs of a Bodygrip Trap enabling the trapper to make
a set. Either type gives the trapper tremendous leverage
so that spring compression is easier and more controlled.
The use of setters will save both time and injury.

DELUXE SETTER:   The model on the left side of the photo above is 
easy to use and very effective for any type of bodygrip trap. It
features an anchor bar, located on the bottom of the frame, on
which the trapper stands. This bar has a rough, sand paper finish
so it stays anchored during spring compression. The main frame
has a hook, located up to at the top of the setter, which is
in a fixed position. The frame has a rod with a T-Top, located
at the top of the setter, which is held in one hand of the
trapper during spring compression. This same rod has another 
hook, located on the bottom of the rod, which slides up
when the T-Top is pulled. The spring of the Bodygrip trap
is placed between these two loops and compressed when the
T-Top is pulled up. This setter is both easy to use and
very effective. It will enable the trapper to make many
sets in a very short amount of time. Though considered to
be the new type of setter compared to the basic model, this
design has gained wide spread acceptance. Here are three 
traps set using our Deluxe Setters.




BASIC SETTER:  The model on the right is the Basic Setter design
for use on Bodygrip traps and has been around for a long
time. It works like a pair of scissors. It features two
slots or grooves at one end into which the springs of the
Bodygrip Trap are set. This is done with the setter in an
open position. To compress the spring, the trapper must
close the setter. The setter does provide tremendous
leverage for the trapper so that spring compression is
easy. However, this design will break down over time and
does require more technical skill during use. Once you 
learn how to use them, they will enable the trapper to
make sets as quickly as with the Deluxe style. Watch

a pair of Basic Setters.




One other setter that is a recent addition to our lineup
are the Robbies Setters. These are easy to use and should
be considered if you are in the market for a good pair
of trap setters. Using the "caulking gun" concept, these
setters make setting a Conibear trap as easy as squeezing
out a tube of window caulking as this video shows.
