PERMETHRIN CONCENTRATE
PRODUCT NAME: Permethrin Concentrate.
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION: Concentrated odorless permethrin which is used
for many purposes including fogging, spraying and drenching. Commonly
used in soil for termite control, it will stop most any insect that
thrives in soil. Migrating hive beetle larvae cannot live in soil
that's been treated with this permethrin at the suggested rate.
TARGET PESTS: Most any insect including hive beetles.
WHERE TO USE IT: In the soil as a soil drench under hives. Be
sure all material penetrates the soil and that none is left out
in the open which could impact bee populations.
RATE OF APPLICATION: This will depend on the concentrate purchased.
We have two grades available both of which are detailed here.
The mild permethrin is only a 10% grade and will need 2/3 of an
oz per gallon of water. Apply to 4 ft by 4 ft sections of soil
using one quart of finished product per 4x4 area. The more
concentrated permethrin, which is a 36.8%, will only need 6 ml
per gallon of water. Apply one quart of this finished solution
to every 4x4 foot soil area under hives. Remember, you can use
a stronger solution by adding more concentrate then recommended
rates but that's generally not needed as long as you treat on
schedule.
