BEAVER SNARES





PRODUCT NAME:   Beaver Snares.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:   Snares are the latest traps being used
for beaver. Made from 3/32 steel cable and one way sliding
locks, snares are designed to close around animals as they
pass through the snares open gap. The noose will close,
preferably over the animals body, and will hold the
animal alive if properly anchored. Beaver caught will be
angry and possibly aggressive, so be prepared.  Snaring
beaver is generally left to the experienced trapper, but
they can be used in conjunction with some of the other
traps if you are willing to learn different techniques.
Our snares are 48 inches long.

TARGET ANIMALS:   Snares are used for many animals although
these are designed specifically for beaver.

WHERE TO USE IT:   Snare cables can be set many different
ways. These include den sets, mound sets, run sets and feeding
station sets. All are detailed in the Beaver 2000 book listed
in our article.

RATE OF APPLICATION:    This will vary from job to job.
Generally, the more snares set, the quicker you catch your
target animals. Don't start with only one - you'll be wasting
your time. Snares need to be set in big numbers. Don't get less
than 6 if you are serious about catching beaver.
