Can I spray the Bifen IT in my basement more often than on the label? Can it be harmful if I sprayed once a month since I have not seen any results?
I am spraying outside as seen on the video on your website. Can I spray more than every three months? I have not been successful with what I am doing.
Thank you.
It sounds like you have misunderstood the treatment process. When active, you should treat as frequently as once a week on the outside. So if you spray the outside on a Sunday and see activity the following Sunday, spray again. This will be with the Bifen XTS or the Cyonara RTS listed here:
You should also be applying the granules every 2 months when you see activity and every 3 months when there are none active and you’re only treating for maintenance to prevent future infestations.
On the inside, you need to spray less frequently because they are invading from the outside. That means the inside activity is due to the ones coming in from outside and only when you kill them outside will the inside activity stop. For this reason repeatedly spraying inside will not help most infestations. Now how frequently can you treat inside? Twice a month will be fine with something like the Bifen IT as long as you’re seeing activity.
Now the Bifen IT can be used outside too but as explained above, you need to use so much water to get good results it will not work as good as the Bifen XTS or the Cyonara RTS.
I would also like to thank Miles, one of your employees, who I spoke with on the phone. He was able to answer all of my questions regarding my problem with springtails. Besides being courteous and helpful, he was very knowledgeable about the products I needed. It has been a pleasure doing business with your company. Cheryl
