COIL LEGHOLD TRAP





PRODUCT NAME:  #3 Coil Leghold Trap.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:   This is the leghold designed trap which will
live trap targeted animals. Generally made of steel and used by
furriers and professional trappers. The number 3 will work for 
most beaver as it has a large gap. See just how big it is in

If you have really big beaver in the 50-75 lb range, you may
want to get the #5 Traps. This video shows just how big this
trap is and how to set them.



TARGET ANIMALS:   Although this trap has been used
for many animals over the years, it is still used quite a bit as
a badger trap. The number 3 will work for most badgers as it has
a large enough gap between the jaws - a design needed when trying
to trap large legged badgers. Though we have it in a #5 size, rarely
would you need one that big.

WHERE TO USE IT:   Coil traps can be set in many different
scenarios. Follow any of the guidelines written under the Bridger
Long Spring trap page since this trap and the Bridger are to used
in the same fashion. Make sets around freshly dug burrows or routes
of entry you know they are using to access livestock.

RATE OF APPLICATION:    This will vary from job to job.
Generally, the more traps employed, the quicker you catch your
target animals. Although you can start with only one, it is
suggested that you use 2-3 where you can.
