PRODUCT NAME:   Prairie Dog Snares.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:   Snaring is a method of trapping prairie dogs which is
generally done by trained trappers. Snares are tedious to work
with and require skill when deciding where to make the set and
then determining which one will be best given the set of
conditions. Snaring is very effective; a good set will produce
animals in a day. A snare is a cable which is 3-5 feet long.
On one end it has a connector which is used to anchor it to
something heavy preventing it to be removed. On the other
end it is looped back around to form a circle. It has a
small mechanism which enables the cable to move in one
direction but not the other. The snare should be set in
an open position over den/mound holes where prairie dogs are
active. Once set in place, dogs which exit will stick their
head through the cable circle which will then come to rest on
their neck and shoulders. As the animal moves out of their
home they will be tightening the snare around their neck
with the cable which won't loosen. Expect to find animals
still alive for a day or two once snared.

TARGET ANIMALS:   Snares are used for many animals although
these are designed specifically for small animals like
prairie dogs and gophers.

WHERE TO USE IT:   Snare cables can be set many different
ways. The most common is directly over entrance/exit
holes which lead into and out of dens.

RATE OF APPLICATION:    This will vary from job to job.
Generally, the more snares set, the quicker you catch your
target animals. Try to make sets for as many mounds that you
believe are active. This will insure a quick catch.
