FLEA TREATMENT

Fleas are one of the most hated pests and continue to be an ever present problem. This past year was one of the worse flea seasons in recent memory. Fleas not only cause pain when they bite but they leave secretions in your skin which causes discomfort, itchiness and more unpleasantness even when they’re gone. Fleas are omnipresent and can live anywhere. And though they prefer our pets first, flea infestations are rarely confined to the pet. In other words, by the time you realize your pet has a problem, there is a good chance the home and yard has a problem too!

Treating fleas involves a three prong approach. In the yard, you need to apply some BIFEN GRANULES and spray over the top with something like CYONARA RTS or CONQUER CONCENTRATE.

In the home, fleas can take over furniture and carpeting. And once their flea cycle starts, there is no way to get rid of them quickly since you cannot kill their pupae stage. For mild to medium infestations, apply our ONCE A YEAR FLEA GRANULES along with several FLEA TRAPS. This will usually break the cycle in a few weeks following the initial work.

For severe infestations, do the same but make sure you have several Flea Traps in place. Additionally, spray over the top with PERMETHRIN 10. It’s odorless and fast acting on adult stages of fleas that will be hatching for several weeks until the pupae run out.

Fleas are a big problem throughout the United States and because we have so much information on how to treat and handle local infestations, we have a separate website just for them.
